Hello all! Farrah has kindly invited me to share some of my insights on Stylecrumbs, so expect to see me often from now on! A brief introduction: I became an avid fashion fan not too long ago. My high school years were plagued with the ever so awkward skinny-braces-glasses combo and absolute non desire to “dress” myself. Expectedly, I didn’t have the greatest self-confidence. This whole ugly-duckling story may sound a bit used, but there is something to be said about the transformative power of fashion.
Taking the advice of a friend, the summer before my first year of college, I devoured fashion magazines and watched runway show after runway show on TV. Long story short, I have since then have a greater understanding of my body and how to flatter it, greater appreciation for the creativity and art that goes into dressing a woman and along the way enjoyed the experience of creating and recreating outfits out of the same old pieces of clothing.
