TV Guide Network The Fashion Team: Nick Verreos Red Carpet Naughty Trick Or Treating!!

Trick...or Fashion Treat!
Trashy Threesome: TV Guide Network's The Fashion Team Nick Verreos, Jen Rade and Lawrence Zarian at Trashy Lingerie, West Hollywood

On this week's TV Guide Network's The Fashion Team, we went "naughty" Trick Or Treating...at West Hollywood's iconic Trashy Lingerie store on La Cienega Blvd.
For our "Hot or Not" segment, stylist Jen Rade, Lawrence Zarian and I discussed who looked their best on the red carpet and those stars who didn't make our grade.

Pink Fantasy: Trashy Lingerie West Hollywood

I have been living in Los Angeles for over 20 years (I came here when I 5--LOL!) and this was my first time at Trashy Lingerie! Can you believe it? My NIKOLAKI partner David Paul, who worked as a Wardrobe Stylist and Costumer for YEARS, had of course been there many a time but yes, I was a Trashy Lingerie Virgin...until now! It is so "old school" up in there. You need to be a Member first of all, to shop there. And they have everyone on Roll O Dex cards, right at the entrance! That is SO 1993, I love it!

Pleather Apron: Naughty Costumes at Trashy Lingerie West Hollywood

The place is stocked from wall to wall with costumes--from naughty maids, nurses and everything in between, as well as all the accessories you will ever need for your Lingerie Fantasies. There's so much boning, pasties, rick-rack trim and stretch nylon in there that it could make even a Playboy Bunny Centerfold blush with excitement!

Top Hat Diva: Nick Verreos at Trashy Lingerie West Hollywood

Needless to say, I didn't dress up in any costume for my TVGN Fashion Team segment (I said I would!) but I did don a mini feathered top hat--to finish off my TopMan jacket and Etro pocket scarf ensemble.

Our Fashion Team Halloween Segment debuted yesterday--Sunday--Oct 31st on the TV Guide Network at 5PM--You can click HERE for the rest of the airing times.

Hope you all had a Happy (Fashionable) Halloween Kids!

Nick Verreos On TV Guide Network's "The Fashion Team" EVERY Sunday: Debuts today!!

Fashion Bar!
Sitting Pretty: Stylist Jennifer Rade and Fashion Designer Nick Verreos, filming TV Guide's The Fashion Team, at Dry Bar Studio City

TV Guide Network's The Fashion Team show is BAAACK! And now better than ever. Why? Well, for one, I'll be on EVERY WEEK! (Yeaaayyy!). And guess who else with be with me? Yep, my trusty--and most CHIC--"TV Guide Award Fashion Wrap" girlfriend, the one and only Jennifer Rade, stylist to the stars (Angelina Jolie, Marilyn Manson, Pink). Beginning today (Sunday), we will be giving our "Hot" or "Not" take on Celebs on the Red Carpet as part of The Fashion Team.

The show--hosted by Lawrence Zarian, who also is our "ringleader" for the TV Guide Awards Show Fashion Wrap, will lead us in talking about a certain celeb at a certain event. And then, kiddies, we go to town.

A Fashion Team: Jennifer Rade, Lawrence Zarian, Nick Verreos, Dry Bar Studio City

And we'll make sure to not just say "Ooooh, Girl that was a MESS!" but also let you know why and how not to make it a mess next time! For this first installment, we were at the brand new Studio City location of...

Dry Bar is a "No Cuts, No Color, just Blow Outs" salon whose co-owner happens to be actress Rose McGowan. When both Jen and I arrived, Lawrence was already filming his segment with Rose. I didn't get a chance to meet her because she was too busy filming naturally, but she looked great!

2010 Emmy Fashion Wrap with Lawrence Zarian, Jennifer Rade, Nick Verreos and.....Countess LuAnn de Lesseps!

Red Carpet Dishing with the Countess...
Red Carpet Group Shot: Nick Verreos, Jennifer Rade, Lawrence Zarian and Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, TV Guide Network Emmys 2010 Fashion Wrap

Yesterday, I had an early call time (not as early as my KNBC "Sunday LA" call time!) for my TV Guide Emmys 2010 Fashion Wrap.

The most affable Lawrence Zarian is the new host and he did an AMAZING job! He hit a "Red Carpet Home Run"! Love him, admire him, and well, just wanna put him in my TopMan blue Jacket Pocket! As usual, I was joined by my "sister"...

The most stylish and UBER talented stylist-to-the-stars, Miss Jennifer Rade (above, with moi) Our very special guest was "Real Housewives of New York City" star, Countess LuAnn de Lesseps. OK, let me begin with: She was AMAZING!!! I had never met her and yet, the first words out of her mouth were "Hi Nick, I know all about you..you are a FABULOUS designer, and your dad was a Diplomat and you grew up in Venezuela and you interned in Switzerland..."

Fashion Sandwich: Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, Nick Verreos and Jennifer Rade, TV Guide Network Emmys Fashion Wrap

I was like "Oh no you didn't!" Somebody did their Homework. This, kiddies, is rare. Can you say "Money can't buy you CLASS?" If you cannot, I'll sing it! Six feet tall, size 2 and all FABULOUS! I loved to doing the TV Guide Emmys 2010 Fashion Wrap and had a blast with all of them!

It was also a special joy when Kim Vo (above, second from right) joined us to dish on the hairstyles. He was wearing the most comfy--and chic-- Louis Vuitton denim driving shoes and I actually threatened him, saying that he would probably leave here BAREFOOT! I can't wait to do this again for the next Awards Show!

And this year we will also be joined by none other than... Countess LuAnn de Lesseps (I know! Shut The Front Door!) from Housewives of New York City. This should be a lot of fun, I cannot wait! Nick Verreos, Jen Rade and Lawrence Zarian...at Kitson LA?

Fashionista Filming...and Shopping!Happy Fashion: Nick Verreos, Jennifer Rade and Lawrence Zarian, Kitson LA

This last week, I had the pleasure of filming a little TV segment with the tall glass o' water host of TV Guide Network Fashion Team co-host Lawrence Zarian and my lovely Award Show Fashion Wrap "sistah", the one and only Miss Jen Rade, costume designer and stylist to none other that Angelina Jolie among other A-List celebs.

We were at Kitson Los Angeles on Robertson (no Paris Hilton OR Nicole Richie sightings unfortunately--or fortunately!) filming a fun little segment and loved EVERY minute of it! So much so, that afterward I went shopping (quelle surprise!) and bought a fun bubblegum pink Adidas digital watch! Note to self: Never bring my credit card if I film in a store!!! Hello!

Golden Globes Fashion Wrap with Carrie Ann Inaba, Nick Verreos, Jen Rade and Lawrence Zarian!

Fashionista Panel: The Golden Globes Edition
Everyone Pose! Jen Rade, Nick Verreos, Carrie Ann Inaba and Lawrence Zarian

On Monday, we filmed our first 2010 installment of our TV Guide Network "Fashion Wrap with Carrie Ann Inaba" where we DISHED on the Golden Globes soppy wet mess of a red carpet. I was so happy to be asked again to join my Fashion Wrap "family" of Hostess-with-the-Mostess, Miss Carrie Ann Inaba (looking great in a Lloyd Klein top), Lawrence Zarian, co-host of "The Fashion Team" and last but not least, my favorite stylist DIVA, Jennifer Rade. You might also recognize Jen from MTV's "Styl'D" reality show where she is the senior stylist at the famed Margaret Maldonado Agency who doesn't mince words when dealing with young wannabe stylists who look like they just got off the "I-don't-wanna-work-I-just-wanna-be-famous" Greyhound bus.
Feliz Cumpleanos: Nick Verreos helps Jen Rade hold her BIG Birthday Cake, TV Guide Golden Globe Fashion Wrap

Speaking of Jen, it was HER BIRTHDAY on Monday so the crew (love the TV Guide crew!!!!) surprised her with a HUGE--and delicious--cake, the minute we wrapped! It was a fun ending to a really great and crazy shoot! And yes, I did chose Drew Barrymore and that Versace Atelier gown as my Best Dressed---sea urchins and all!!! She stepped out on a fashion limb and at least in my eyes, she worked it out! I'm so tired of safe, that's why I was giving props to the Chloe's and the Drew's of the red carpet!

In case you didn't get to see the show, don't fret...

Jazz Hands....with Carrie Ann Inaba!
Awesome Foursome: Jennifer Rade, Nick Verreos, Carrie Ann Inaba and Lawrence Zarian

Monday night was the premiere of TV Guide Network's Emmy Awards Fashion Wrap with Carrie Ann Inaba. I was invited back to be part of the panel of experts, including Angelina Jolie's stylist Jennifer Rade. She was in a silky Gucci jersey dress and stacked gold Gucci pumps (love her!). We also had a special guest, the UBER fabulous Kim Vo, colorist to the Stars! This was the debut of Carrie Ann Inaba as the new host and she did an AMAZING job! We filmed Sunday night ONLY HOURS after the Emmys red carpet took place! It was CRAZY! We usually tape the following morning but Miss Carrie Ann had Dancing With The Stars to tape on Monday so no can do...In her honor, we got all "jazz hands" on her during several of our segments. Trust me, I would loved to have done some high kicks, but my pants were too tight and you might have heard a rip!Bling Bling: Nick Verreos wears a beautiful Platinum and Diamond Pin from the Singer Collection on TV Guide's Emmy Awards Fashion Wrap with Carrie Ann Inaba

I was lucky enough to have been invited to the Platinum Guild International Suite at the Four Seasons earlier in the week where they let me borrow a STUNNING pin, made of platinum and diamonds, from the prestigious Singer Collection (not the sewing machine family, in case you were wondering!). Well, naturally, I wore it to my TV appearance on the Emmys Fashion Wrap. Butch It Up: Nick Verreos and his TV Guide Boys, the crew of TV Guide Network Fashion Wrap

As always, I had the best time filming these and we all meshed very seamlessly together--it was as if we all had been doing it for years with Miss Carrie Ann. I especially love the CREW---I call them "My Boys"; they are all very "Butch" and they still love me---each time I show up to the set, they try and teach me the Straight Guy Walk. I try and do it for them, but the big red leather man-purse I carry in my arm ALWAYS ruins the effect! Love my TV Guide Boys.

Now speaking of our red carpet commentary, I loved getting "down and dirty" with what we liked--and didn't like--on the red carpet. And being that I am a fashion designer as well as an Instructor of fashion design at FIDM, I always try to insert a little bit of "schooling" regarding the fashion terminology we are using so the audience isn't left in the dark.
My faves: Well, January Jones in Atleier Versace, Heidi Klum (of course) in Marchesa, and Drew Barrymore in Monique Lhullier. All three were GA-GA-Gorgeous!

Now if you want to know who we picked for "not so good", you can click BELOW and watch the ENTIRE TV Guide Emmys Fashion Wrap with Carrie Ann Inaba...and me!
