Kim Chiu, who was wearing a white Francis Libiran gown, received the "Drop-dead Stunner" award at the recently concluded Star Magic Ball 2011.

Now on its 5th year, The Star Magic Ball is an annual gathering of Star Magic talents and ABS-CBN executives. This year's ball was held at the Manila Peninsula Hotel in Makati on September 3, 2011.

The Star Magic Ball is an annual gathering of ABS-CBN talents and bosses. Special awards such as "Most Glamourous" (took home by Anne Curtis last year) and "King and Queen of the Night" (awarded to John Lloyd Cruz and Maricar Reyes in 2010) are to be handed out during the event.

Bea Alonzo spotted at 'Wedding Tayo, Wedding Hindi' premier night

Bea Alonzo is not part of the cast of the movie "Wedding Tayo, Wedding Hindi" but the she was spotted at the movie's Premier Night earlier this week.

It appears that it was Bea's way of showing her support to Zanjoe Marudo who is one of the leading men in the movie.

Bea and Zanjoe had been rumored to be a couple for quite some time now. But in his interview with SNN last night, Zanjoe said they have not reached that status in their relationship yet. They are still dating, he said.

Zanjoe had also invited Bea to be his date at the Star Magic Ball 2011 happening later at the Manila Peninsula. Bea has reportedly said "yes."

Paulo Avelino to attend the 'Star Magic Ball 2011'

Paulo Avelino, who recently transferred to ABS-CBN, reportedly will be attending the Star Magic Ball 2011 on Saturday, September 3, 2011. This marks the hunk actor's first public debut as a Kapamilya after inking his 3-year contract with network in mid-August this year.

Projects for Paulo are still under wraps and as of the moment he is still doing several acting workshops. He is also finishing his movie "Aswang" with Lovi Poe.

In his recent interview, Paulo said of all the Kapamilya leading ladies it is Kim Chiu that he wants to work with in the future.

“Sa mga babae gusto kong maka-work si Kim Chiu. Aside sa galing niya sa pag-arte, napaganda talaga niya. Nakikita kong napakabait niyang artista. Napanood ko siya sa Tayong Dalawa. Hi hello lang kami sa ilang Bench fashion shows. Laging nakaka-star struck kapag nakakakita ka ng artistang hindi mo madalas makita,” Paulo told Push.

The 23-year-old actor started out his career in 2006 via "Star Struck", a reality star search on the rival network GMA-7. He has also modeled for local clothing brand Bench. He is the father of Kapuso actress' LJ Reyes' son.

The Star Magic Ball 2011 is going to be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011. The past days, ABS-CBN talents have been busy gearing up for this big Kapamilya event where they get to party with all the brightest stars in the network. Yesterday, many of them were spotted fitting their outfits for the event.

The annual Star Magic Ball is being anticipated by fans not just for their favorite celebrities' glamorous looks but as well as their fave stars' dates.

So who's dating who this year?

According to reports, real life couple KC Concepcion and Piolo Pascual will be arriving in the event together.

Surprisingly, Jake Cuenca has chosen Kapuso actress Lovi Poe as his date. They worked together in the 2011 movie "My Neighbor's Wife."

Diether Ocampo has invited Kris Aquino. There are no reports yet of whether the Queen of All Media has accepted his invitation.

Via Twitter, "PGT's" Markki Stroem said he will be dating "Mara Clara's" Kiray Celis. (Lol)

Zanjoe Marudo has gotten Bea Alonzo's "yes" to be with him in the event. The two have been dating for several months now.

As of last night, Kim Chiu said she has no date yet.

Current on-screen love teams (i.e. Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales) and off-screen couples (i.e. John Lloyd Cruz and Shaina Magdayao) will most probably be seen together on the red carpet.

Meanwhile, last year's Star Magic Ball's "Most Glamorous" Anne Curtis and Tatt Awards "Most Likable" Vice Ganda are still abroad so they will be missing this year's ball.
