Bagyong Juaning exits PAR

Bagyong Juaning (Tropical Storm Juaning) has moved out from the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the PAGASA said Thursday.

Based on the last "Juaning" bulletin from PAGASA issued at 11 a.m., the weather disturbance was last located at 370 km West Northwest of Laoag City and is now packing maximum winds of 95 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 120 kph. It is moving West Northwest at 24 kph.

All public storm signals have now been lowered.

Meanwhile, another tropical depression is about to enter PAR in the coming hours. The cyclone will be named "Kabayan" once it penetrates PAR.

'Juaning' unlikely to become a typhoon - PAGASA

Tropical Storm "Juaning" will not intensify into a typhoon and a Public Storm Warning Signal Number 3 is unlikely to be hoisted over any area, the PAGASA said Wednesday.

"Juaning won't become a typhoon and won't be raised into signal no 3 as storm already reached land," the PAGASA told GMA News.

Please don't be misled by blogs and other websites calling "Juaning" a typhoon. The weather disturbance has not acquired enough strength to be called as one. And our state weather bureau is quite certain "Juaning" will not develop into a typhoon.
