Mayweather vs Ortiz Result
Fomer pound-for-pound champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr. has defeated Victor Ortiz via a technical knock out (TKO) during the 4th round of the match.
The Mayweather vs Ortiz “Star Power” World Boxing Council (WBC) Welterweight Championship was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, September 17, 2011 (Sunday morning, Manila time).
With the win, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. remains undefeated with 42 victories out of 42 matches, 26 of which are all knockouts, and no draw. Victor Ortiz, meanwhile, holds a record of 34 fights, 29 wins, 22 KOs, 2 draws and 3 losses.
After winning the welterweight title, a match against pound-for-pound champion Manny Pacquiao should be up next for Mayweather.
