I remember thinking that I have finally mastered the art of thrifting the second I discovered this vintage Oscar de la Renta cardigan. The moment was priceless. I found it all balled up and tangled in between several hanger hooks, looking like a piece of useless rubbish. Really, the only thing that stopped me from passing by it with neglect was its captivating rainbow-colored stripes. Almost hesitantly, I started to untangle the ball of color, all the while contemplating if the gesture was even worth my time. After three full minutes I finally managed to get all hanger hooks out of it and my heartbeat accelerated as the beauty was slowly unfolded in front of my eyes. Immediately a humongous smile crept across my face as I sighed out "Oscar de la Renta..." and my feet brought the whole body to jumping up and down like a three year old.
Goodwill has probably never seen anyone that excited in the sweater aisle ;)
